In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael graduated from NIDA. Yael had the privilege at a young age to have worked with the best storytellers and performers in Australia, as well as visionaries within the TV, film and theatre industries. Yael's professional career is thriving throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where the show played with great acclaim, moved to the place she now calls New York City. Yael established The Cannery with her co-founders. It is based within Bushwick Brooklyn and works in the city to promote creative writing, innovative ideas and new work.
